Lidded Jar, Canister, Very beautiful and totally functional	This is an excellent lidded jar! The glazes and designs are outstanding; they have a very high sheen and beautiful crackles covering the entire pot.  Hand thrown ginger jar style, this pot also has a hand carved lid that was glazed with cobalt and crackly clear overglaze.  The body of the pot was hand painted then overglazed with cobalt and crackly clear.  Beautiful colors that become richer with temperature and light variances.   The inside was glazed with crackly clear overglaze.  Wood fired. This piece is really hard not to touch.   The lid was designed for functionality and purpose.  It is easy to handle.   This pot is very lightweight and well balanced.   Piece #6-1-02
Different lightening	Notice the deeper shade of cobalt and the richness of the amber and chuns.  Beautiful crackles are very apparent on the top of the lid.    Cobalt and clear create a surface similar to glass, for this reason, it is difficult to pick up the vibrance of the glaze colors and crackle affects.
